Kate McCahill is the author of Patagonian Road: A Year Alone Through Latin America (SFWP, 2017) and Room of Wonders: New Perspectives on Home Birth (SFWP, 2027). She has written, managed, and edited content for a number of organizations, including Wellesley College, the International Folk Art Market, the Museum of Fine Arts/Boston, the Harvard Business School, and IBM. Her writing has appeared in various magazines and publications, including VOX and The Millions.

Longtime professor of English at Santa Fe Community College, Kate is editor-in-chief of the Santa Fe Literary Review, the college’s annual journal of arts and letters. She holds degrees from Wellesley College and the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Kate lives in New Mexico with her family.
